Review interpack Düsseldorf 2023: Intensive networking and inspiring impulses

High-end technologies, innovative packaging concepts, intensive discussions, shaking hands, beaming faces - the joy was great to finally return after a six-year break to the one place of impulses that connects the international packaging industry: interpack in Düsseldorf. From 04 - 10 May 2023, the exhibition halls became THE platform for the processing and packaging industry. Among the more than 2,800 exhibitors, of course, also Packaging Valley.

Under the guiding theme of the interpack "simply unique", Packaging Valley presented itself with a joint stand of around 800 square meters and nine co-exhibitors and a further 34 Packaging Valley members with their own exhibition areas. From the first day of the trade show, it became clear that interpack is the world's largest and most important trade show, matchmaking platform and think tank for the industry, and that every exhibitor contributes to this unique event, helping to shape the industry. That's it and that's what it is: seven days of interpack - seven days of trends, networking, matchmaking - intensive, informative, innovative.

This was also noticeable at the Packaging Valley joint stand. Numerous companies from the industry from all continents found their way to our stand. Packaging Valley is recognized globally. In addition to visitors from LUT University Finland, we also had an exciting exchange with guests from Singapore, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation. We were very pleased to have discussed the latest trends in packaging machinery manufacturing with them, and about challenges and approaches to solutions in the industry. It is precisely this opportunity to have many exciting face-to-face discussions within a few days that makes the trade show a special place.

"If Interpack did not exist, it would have to be invented now. It shows that trade shows continue to be important and indispensable. I am pleased that so many visitors found their way to our booth and thus to PV and that we were able to have so many good discussions with industry representatives," said Dr. Marc Funk, Managing Director Packaging Valley e.V.

Another highlight was the German-Spanish get-together with the Spanish network "Packaging Cluster". In addition to a tour of Packaging Valley at interpack, Packaging Cluster members presented themselves at the Packaging Valley joint stand and had the opportunity to engage in personal exchanges at the subsequent networking evening.

Networking, exchanging, moving - a special concern of Packaging Valley Germany e.V. - in doing so, the meeting and exchange between member companies and young professionals should also be promoted. With the Packaging Valley Career Walk, the association enables young professionals to get to know member companies from Packaging Valley and to network with them. At interpack, we were thus able to create the space for initial contacts between Packaging Valley members and interested students from the FH Aachen (University of Applied Sciences).

Martin Buchwitz, Managing Director Packaging Valley Germany e.V., is convinced: "Packaging machinery manufacturing is an industry with excellent future prospects and business thrives on personal encounters. This and much more was shown at interpack 2023. The fact that more than 40 member companies from Packaging Valley exhibited at this important industry trade show shows how important interpack is for packaging machinery manufacturing and the associated automation technology."

It was a great time at the fair! We say thank you! Thank you for the visit of the city of Schwäbisch Hall with Mayor Daniel Bullinger and WFG Schwäbisch Hall mbH (Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft des Landkreises Schwäbisch Hall mbH) and to all co-exhibitors and participants for the great cooperation and the joint appearance at interpack 2023!

What our co-exhibitors say:

"We had seven intensive and successful days at interpack. In addition to presenting our solutions, networking was of course at the top of our agenda. We made many new contacts, strengthened existing relationships and discussed many interesting and exciting projects. We also found the spirit at the Packaging Valley joint stand positive. We are already looking forward to the next Interpack 2026." Sven Andresen, Key Account Manager Food & Commodity, OMRON Industrial Automation Europe

"EISELE looks back on a very successful interpack 2023 with many interesting contacts. The trade fair far exceeded our expectations. Many thanks for the excellent organization of the Packaging Valley joint stand! We are already looking forward to interpack 2026." Gregor Stratmann, Sales Manager D/A/CH EISELE GmbH

"Our trade show appearance was extremely successful. This also applies in particular to our appearance as part of Packaging Valley. There, we had a strong focus on pharmaceuticals, and the 132M HC wrap-around labeler for vials and the like developed into a strong crowd-puller. The many advantages offered by the new Clean Design were clearly recognized and welcomed by the visitors. As a result, our team was able to make many new and interesting contacts and strengthen existing contacts. Our strong presence also at Packaging Valley thus secured us another "touchpoint" with a lot of attention. HERMA was thus able to reach important target groups via two thematic "paths": in Hall 8B via the path "Machinery for labeling and marking" and in Hall 16 via the path "Machinery for the packaging of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics". Milos Kojic, Head of Marketing B2B HERMA GmbH

"From HERMA's point of view, interpack was a complete success. We had many interesting discussions and a great and profitable time. The Packaging Valley booth was very successful and well organized. We felt very comfortable. Many thanks to the good organization for a successful trade show appearance." Christoph Ziegler, HERMA GmbH

"Being able to be a part of this event as an exhibitor makes us incredibly proud and motivates us for STAKO's future company development." Levin Stapf, STAKO GmbH Mechanical Engineering

"The interpack offers a unique platform to exchange ideas with new and existing customers as well as partners and to expand the network. And also to gain insights into the latest trends and products in the industry yourself. The interpack is simply 'simply unique'!". Martin Stapf, Managing Director STAKO GmbH Mechanical Engineering
